We are off to a great start this year by funding the Packard venue with advance sales of 20 VIP tickets for $100.00 each. Thanks to all those kind patrons for their timely donations. The admission cost this year will remain the same $10.00 at the door for either Sat. or Sun. or a $15.00 donation will cover both venues (paid at door @ Up A Creek or Packard box-office). Mark Matash from Up A Creek will once again donate BBQ (smoked by TJ) and provide outdoor venue to host all the live music for the BBQ Blues Jam on Sat. afternoon Sept.3rd. Many of the great local musicians will be featured there as well as at Packard on Sun. evening. Packard Music Hall will be an indoor event with large dance floor, table seating and concessions offering food and alcoholic beverages. Balcony seats will also be available if needed. This will be more of a concert setting featuring some of the finest musicians to come out of NE Ohio. We are still compiling the roster of musicians and looks like we will have an incredible line-up. Some of the bands from the past to be represented this year will be with featured former members of The Shaddows, M.F. Rattlesnake, Poppy, Mom's Apple Pie, L.A.W., The Holes in the Road, Country Honks, Attica Wahoos, Sideshow and The Rapscallions (the Quick) featuring Mariano Longo and Tommy McCoy (complete with horn and string sections). We have also invited the Youngstown contingent of musicians to participate, featuring, Deadbeat Poets (Blue Ash) and Jac Roblet (Youngstownsrocknrollhistory).
Local contemporary artists featured in the show this year include Kelly McKracken, Madam Weez and special appearance from Antoinette Manganas featuring Roger Hatfield.
We have designed a great T shirt for this years event. It will be available at both venues and all proceeds go to cancer fund. The Trumbull Memorial Foundation is proud to sponsor these events and accommodate our community service. Sponsors this year include Covelli Inc, Microphome LLC, PMF, Up A Creek, Adgate Florist, McMenamy's and more to be announced.
